Trend: Peplum

Recently Peplum has been popping up through all the shops. From peplum dresses, to tops, to skirts designers are adding a frill to anything and everything this season! I know quite a few people are not loving this trend, but personally (and slightly suprisingly...) I am! From 'extreme peplum' dresses where there is no subtly whatsoever in the design that it has a huge frill on it which you would spot a mile off, to more wearable everyday tshirts with a 'loose' frill at the bottom, I love the trend! I think it a great way to add some interest to plain t-shirts and more drama to plain skirts and dresses.
Below are some of my favourite styles around in the shops at the moment:

September Wishlist

Essie 'Topless and Barefoot' This has to be one of the nicest 'nude' nail polishes out there and after my discovery of essie nail polishes I am hooked! Definatly one I will have my eye on for the next purchase.

Sportsgirl Bangle Stretch Set When I saw the orange and pink pyramid bracelet images flashed back to me of the J-Crew one I had seen a few months ago but could not justify the $30 price tag.I love this bracelet and think it would go great with a lot of spring outfits.

St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse I have had my eye on St. Tropez products for a while and after doing my research the most loved product seems the be the mousse.

Oribe Texturizing Spray After seeing Anna talk about this product numberous times, I really want to try it. It is a tad on the pricey side, but this is a wishlist right!?

What products are on your wishlist this month? xx

ShopCall: Essie Bargains

As you haven't already guessed or are a first time reader (...welcome!), I am a nail polish junkie! From bright summer corals and pastel lilacs, to wintery deep purples and greys, I love nail polish. This is a slight problem when you live in Australia and lust after brands such as OPI, essie and chinaglaze as they are very hard to get a hold of. However, you will never believe my excitement when I stumbled across beautybay.com - the answer to getting reasonably priced nail polish delivered free straight to my doorstep-YAY! After filling my basket high with nail polishes for every season I began to narrow it down. I decided I would wait to place the order, and I am very glad I did! The other day I was shopping and came across a store called: Cosmetics Fragrance Direct, I had never seen this store before so of course I had to go in. BEST DECISION EVER! The company has shops in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC and SA and guarantee 100% authenticity of their products, with all products being dramatically reduced! That was when I spotted the essie bowl... (cue 'dun dun duuunnn'!) There was not hundreds of colours to choose from but there was a wide variety of shades to suit everyone's style, and the best of all, the sets!

The nail polishes retail at $6.00 - half the price of the $12.00 beauty bay ones!
And the sets retail at the bargain price of $5.00! for 4 nail polishes - dirt cheap compared to the  $16.90 beauty bay ones!

Granted, these shades are not the newest ones, but all the shades I picked up can be purchased from beauty bay, so obviously they are still going strong!
The shades I picked up were:

Individuals:

Braziliant 15ml: A hot orange with a touch of shimmer.

Miss Matched 15ml: A sheer pinky lilac.

Set:

Fair Game 5ml: A metallic, gunmetal blue

Your Hut Or Mine 5ml: A shimmering soft coral red.

Da Bush 5ml: A pale, sage green.

Lion Around 5ml: A lovely soft peach pink with a subtle shimmer finish.

*all descriptions of the colours are taken from beautybay.com

August Favourites

This month has really flown by for me, I'm sure if you have already read a few of these posts this is nothing new, but to me it still feels like the beginning of the month. This month I have a wide selection of favourites but I apologize in advance for the lack of beauty products!
TRESemmé Heat Tamer Protective Spray: I have had this heat-protectant for a while now and only just realised that I had never mentioned it in any of my monthly favourites so decided to include it this month. This is possibly one of the most talked about heat-protectants between the beauty blogs, and after owning it for a while I can see why! It provides my hair with protection from my hair-dryer or straightener without leaving it sticky afterwards. I went for a few weeks without using this product and really noticed that my hair was a lot dryer after using heat on it.

Oh, Lola! Body Lotion: I love this fragrance for the spring and summer time and use the EDP a lot, but felt that the body lotion was not getting a lot of use, time to sort that out! It is no where near the most moisturising body lotion on the planet, but the light lingering scent it leaves is great. It is not as strong as spraying the perfume on you, and is great if you just use it on your hands before you leave in the morning, as the scent stays put all day!

Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish, Shade 202, 'Bubble': I find this the perfect transitional colour for Spring as it is a hot pink, but misses out on the fluorescent-ness many hot pinks now process. I love this colour so much and have featured it in my 'Nail Polishes Perfect for Spring' post (link here) as it is such a verasatile and fun colour to wear on your nails as the sun begins to shine again.

Maybelline BabyLips (Menthol): This is my second BabyLips (in the same flavour too!) and what can I say, they are perfect for on the go hydration. They are clear and soak in fast, all in all a total winner in my books!

Marble Skull Bracelet: This month I decided to include a 'fashion' favourite because of the lack of beauty products, so I chose this bracelet. I recently purchased this bracelet from a little store near my house and was instantly drawn to the simplicity and colour. I am not a 'skull person' and did not purchase the bracelet for the heads scattered throughout the beads, but rather for the beautiful bright colours. I have been loving this bracelet with nearly every outfit as it adds a simple pop of colour to basic, neutral outfits!

Inspiration: Spring/Summer

I have seen a few other bloggers writing 'inspiration' posts lately and found they were a great way to gain (you'll never guess it...) inspiration! Below are some of my favourite pics which to me really represented the fashions of Spring/Summer 2012.

Review: Y Organics Balance Oil

Y Organics 603 BALANCE Certified Organic Jojoba - 30ml
$39.50
Recently with all the cold weather a heater has been a must! Even though they are great for keeping you warm, heaters are extremely drying to your skin whether you can see it or not, and I could defiantly see it. So instead of my usual skipping moisturising step I decided to tend to the problem at hand, the dryness, and I found myself reaching for this product.

It is very different to other moisturisers as it does not come as a cream, rather a oil. Applying  oil to your face may seem slightly odd to some people (especially people who have oily skin) but I find it a great way to make sure the product has really absorbed into the skin. You take a small drop (roughly half the size of a 5c coin, give or take depending on how much of your skin you are planning to apply it to) and massage this into the dry areas. Come the morning the dry areas will be gone and your skin will feel hydrated. I have no idea what I would have done without this amazing product during these cool winter months.

Y Organics Balance Oil can be purchased through their online store here and through discerning hair and beauty salons and selected health and wellness professionals.
Here is a list of retailers so you can find one nearby.

ShopCall: Sportsgirl

This is the first of a new section of posts, focussing on the small gems you can find in easy-to-access stores Australia wide. This month I came across the perfect bracelets in the well-known store, Sportsgirl. Sportgirl are known for their on-trend pieces influenced by the clothes you see on the runways at a more affordable price. Recently I have not been drawn to as many things in their shop as I have been previously. However, I spotted these bracelets and they were to good not to tell you guys about. As you can see from the pictures below they look quite a lot like the small-dainty bracelets you see on tumblr and pinterest and look great by themselves or layered with a watch and other bracelets for a more dramatic and eye-catching look.

Fine Skull Bracelet $9.95
Fine Cross Bracelet $9.95

Infinity Knot Bracelet $9.95

As you can see there is a variety of these bracelets, with the infinity knot being my personal favourite. I think for $9.95 for these are a real bargain and will be great for seasons to come!

If you have any gems you have spotted recently feel free to let me know in the comments! xx

Review: Babyliss PRO Argan Oil

All winter it has been damp and cold, typical winter weather with minimal hints of warmth so I have been using a lot of heat on my hair from blow-drying, straightening and even occasionally curling. The large amount of heat has not done wonders for my hair and was causing the ends to be very dry and the ends beginning to split. I then discovered this gem just in time for it to rescue my locks!

This amazing product is marketed as a alternative to the famous Moroccan Oil, which I was eager to try out, however after trying this I'm not sure if I will need to. I place the oil in my hair when it is damp after washing it (for best results apply to towel-dried hair), and apply it roughly 10cm from the ends of my hair and work it down and then run the remainder of the oil which is left on my hands through my hair (avoiding the scalp and hairline as it can make the hair look oily). I then either blow-dry my hair of let it air dry, either works great with this product.
The only problem with this product is the packaging, the screw lid although functional and great for travelling when you have oily hands trying to screw a lid on and not spilling it everywhere is a bit of a struggle. A pump would have been much better and even though you could add your own by buying one, I couldn't be bothered trying to find one to fit.

Overall, a wonderful product if you are looking for something to save your hair from split-ends and dryness.

Babyliss PRO Argan Oil retails for $34.95 and is available from pharmacies, some hairdressers and can be found online here and I even found a pump made for the product here!

What I have been loving... #01

Instead of doing my July Favourites this month I decided that I would shake things up and do a 'What I have been loving' post instead. Recently I have been off school sick, so I haven't been wearing any makeup or trying out many new products, just sticking to what I know and not really exploring anything new or exciting. However here are a few things that have brightened up my days and made the road to recovery feel not quite as long!
fgdfgfd
What I have been reading:
I have been reading A LOT of blogs recently, they are easy to read and really helped keep me in the loop about new products and things I should try out. Blogs I find are a lot easier to read than books if you are constantly feeling tired and run-down like me recently. I have been loving Vivianna's blog and cannot get enough of her wide variety of posts which always cheer me up. She is such a lovely, genuine person who posts wonderfully written reviews, updates and my personal favourites 'Weekend Posts' where she covers everything from her weekend skincare routine to tips on how to downsize your makeup collection.
rerwrew
What I have been listening too:
I have been loving a variety of songs recently, from Justin Bieber's new album 'Believe', my top picks have to be As Long as You Love Me and Maria, I just find these songs up-beat enough to keep me listening but not so energetic I feel like I should be listening to them while going for a run. Other songs that have been on repeat a lot lately are One More Night by Maroon 5, Primadonna by Marina and the Diamonds and Follow the Leader by Wisin & Yandel and Jennifer Lopez.
gfdgfd
What I have been doing:
Twitter, Twitter, Twitter! I have been loving twitter lately, from discovering new blogs to read, to connecting with other bloggers, me and twitter have been inseparable! If you don't follow me on twitter (@GlossyRedLips), I tweet when there is a new post up, as well as daily tweets about what I've been up to and connecting with my readers and other bloggers. I try to reply to your messages as soon as I can, and love hearing from you all!

So there we have it, some of the things that I have been loving recently! What have you been loving lately?

Review: Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter

Emma Stone wearing the Shade 'Peach Parfait'
Source: Google

You may have already seen these beauties appear in my Spring Wishlist with me mentioning that I was keen to try more shades and I can tell you why... they are AMAZING! I'm sure any of you who are regular 'beauty blog readers' have already heard a million and one reviews on them telling you have great they are and now you cant make them a million and two! I was slightly apprehensive when purchasing this product, thinking that it was going to be more a tinted lip balm than a lipstick- boy was I wrong! These sticks of wonderfullness are PIGMENTED! They have a wonderful colour pay-off with just one layer that can be built up is a deeper or brighter look is desired. Not only are they wonderfully coloured, they are hydrating, making your lips feel smooth and soft- just like you had used a great lip balm on them!

These fabulous products come in 20 great colours, including beiges, nudes and baby pinks to the more daring deep reds and hot pinks- a colour to suit everyone! I picked up the shade 'Peach Parfait' a neutral peachy colour with small gold flecks scattered throughout- giving the perfect 'my lips but better' look to the lips. I am keen to try the shades 'Strawberry Shortcake' for the perfect pale pink or 'Sweet Tart' for a bolder, brighter colour.
What do you think of the Revlon Lipbutters? Do they live up to the hype?

Nail Polishes Perfect For Spring

From Right to Left: Tidal Wave, Bubble, (No Name*),
(No Name*), Misty Jade, Hottie.
Pastels, pastels, pastels! They are everywhere you look this season, from jeans and tops to nail polish, you cannot go shopping without spying the light colour selection in at least a few shop windows! I love pastel nail polish as it is a lot more toned down than other coloured nail polishes (fluro yellow anyone?) and goes hand in hand with the pastel jeans trend.

However, even though pastel nail polishes may be easy to wear, not all of them are easy to apply. Being  light colours you can often find pastel shades come out watery and take A LOT of coats to reach opacity but the Rimmel Misty Jade colour and the shades I picked up only take 2-3 coats which is great.

In spring I also love having bright colours on my nails (fingers and toes!), to brighten up any spring day which may be missing a few warm rays of sun. I love Revlon's Tidal Wave and Bubble for this. Tidal wave is a beautiful teal colour, with green duochromes in it, a definate eye catcher! And bubble is just a hot blue-toned pink, no frills on this one but gorgeous nonetheless!

In Spring I love wearing nail-polish on my nails to give a perfectly polished look to any outfit!
What are your favourite colours to paint your nails with in the Spring?

Spring Trends - Coloured Jeans

Top: Ally Side Zip Jean, Bottom: Ally Side Zip Jean,
Right: 'Blue Whisper' Coloured Jean
Coloured jeans seemed to be everywhere this year, from the winter colours of; burgundy, cobalt blue and forest green just to name some of the most popular colours of the season, coloured jeans are here to stay for spring (and those cool summer nights!). The colour selection is infinitive, from baby pinks and cornflower blues to neon corals and fluorescent limes, there are colours for everyone's tastes and styles.
Left: Colour Leopard Jean, Right: Floral Print Jean
But designers are not stopping there!.... There are plenty of printed coloured jeans around in the shops this spring. Pastel leopard print and florals being a favourite! I absolutely love coloured jeans whether they are printed or plain, I think they look  great with plain tops in contrasting colours as well as more dressy tops and accessories to glam them up a bit.

Spring Wishlist

Images sourced from: www.theiconic.com.au, www.dotti.com.au, google and www.meccacosmetica.com.au
The colour, the height and the ankle strap are all perfect! I love these shoes so much and cannot believe how perfect they are for spring with the on-trend pastel colour. They look so cute and I can see them being paired with nearly every piece of clothing in anyone's wardrobe to add  a 'on-trend' and stylish edge to any outfit.
Printed jeans are all over the shops this season and these ones have really caught my eye. The neutral white background behind the pink floral print is subtle enough to be worn everyday with other prints or plain tshirts yet eye-catching enough to be dressed up with heels and a sparkly tank top for a more dressy look.
Another major trend this season is peplum. Peplum skirts, peplum dresses and of course my favourite, peplum tops. They are all over the shops with limitless different colours and prints. I especially loved this top because of the detailing it has and the colours that have been used which create contrast if it was to be worn with lighter pastel colours.
These have been all over the internet with millions of blog post ranting and raving about these 'lip butters' but I can see why! Recently I bought one to try out for myself whether they lived up to the hype, and of course they do! The creamy moisturising texture combined with colour and a hint of sparkle - really what else could you want! I am now looking at trying out some other shades as the shade I got (Peach Parfait) is quite neutral and I want to try some of the pinkier shades in the collection.
The packaging of this candle really sold it to me. After seeing loads of pictures where people had used the candle jar (once all the candle had been burnt obviously) as storage for make-up brushes and stationary I really wanted one. I am yet to experience the scent in person but I'm sure after hearing such good reviews I will instantly find a fragrance which I will love (if not all of them!).

Review: Mecca Cosmetica 'In a Good Light' SPF 30+ Tinted Facial Sunscreen

Mecca Cosmetica 'In a Good Light' SPF 30+
I recently received a sample size of this product after popping into Mecca Cosmetica the other day. I have really been enjoying this product as it applies to the skin beautifully. The coverage is very light but evens out the skin tone well creating a great even base, as well as protecting your face from the sun because of the high SPF. This product would be great for spring and summer time and is the perfect alternative ordinary sunscreen. The only downfall of this product is the array (or lack of) colours. There is only one shade (which worked for me as I have relatively pale skin) but people with darker skin tones may find it hard to wear without mixing it with a darker foundation or tinted moisturiser. Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for something to even out your skin tone and leave your face looking fresh as well as protect your face from the sun's harmful rays.
Avaliable from Mecca Cosmetica RRP $50.00 for 125g and can be bought online here.

Winter Warmers - Nails

During the colder months painting your nails can make the grey-dreary weather seem a little brighter. I like to wear nail polishes that reflect the season whilst also following the current trends. Below are some of my favourite nail polishes to wear in the winter because of the way they add to warm winter outfits or the way the brighten up any rainy day.

From Left to Right: Revlon 'Grape', Orly 'Luxe' and
 Mecca Cosmetica 'Mariah'
Revlon Top Speed 'Grape'
I find that this colour even though it looks dark and like any other deep purple it really adds some shimmer to a outfit with out being to obvious. Yes it is a dark colour, but the shimmer which it contains adds a little sparkle to your nails and it is a dream to apply as you can easily get away with just applying one coat. And the colour nearly goes with everything!

Orly 'Luxe'
You may have seen this nail polish used in my DIY: Splatter Nails post and that is because I love it! It is a amazing gold colour, perfect to wear with any winter outfit and a show-stopping polish overall. You need at least two coats of this polish to reach full opacity and it does have the difficultly of removing (just like any glitter nail polish) but I can assure you its worth it. With a decent top-coat this polish can last all week, perfect if you hate messing around doing your nails during the week. And can be used in a variety of different ways just to add some sparkle, I love using it as a accent nail (by just painting my ring finger) or splattering on your nails do add some sparkle.

Mecca Cosmetica 'Mariah'
I wear this polish all year round but especially love the way the neutral, nude shades contrast against dark winter clothes. This nail polish looks great with a glitter nail polish over the top if you are looking to glam it up or on its own for a practical, neutral shade that will go with everything in your wardrobe. You need two coat of this nail polish to reach full opacity but it is a very long wearing polish lasting around 8-10 days with a top coat on. And can be used as a great base colour for any nail art or designs because of its neutral colour.

NOTD: Galaxy Nails

I have been loving the 'Galaxy Nail Trend' lately so decided to try it out for myself! I watched a very easy and informative tutorial and saw that creating this look was not as hard as it seemed!
This was the finished product:
Overall I am very happy with the final look, I think it is the perfect way to jazz up plain nail polish while not being to 'in your face'. I think next time I will try and focus on adding a pink instead of a purple, because I like the contrast between the pink and the blues with were used in the tutorial.
Nail Polishes I used:
- OPI (I don't know what the name is as it is a mini and has no-name on the bottom...)
- OPI 'What's with the Cattitude?'
- Revlon 'Tidal Wave'
- Orly 'Hype'
- Satin '35'
If you would like to know how to create this look here is a wonderful tutorial!

Review: Mecca Cosmetica Lip De-Luscious SPF 25 Hydrating Lip Protectant

Lip De-Luscious Avaliable from Mecca Cosmetica $28.00
Photo Sourced From MeccaCosmetica.com.au
After doing my Winter Warmers- Lip Care I was keen to discover new products to help my lips survive the frostiness of the cool winter months.

When I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this lip balm and was instantly hooked by the scent of this product. Even though the 'fairyflossy', sweet lolly smell may not be for everyone, it was right up my alley! This is possibly the most moisturising lip balm I have ever tried! After using Carmex lip balm for a while now, I thought nothing could compare, but this has topped it! A tiny pea-size amount is all you need balm and instantly your lips feel brand new. I put it on my lips when they were sore from being in the cold for a long amount of time, and by the morning they felt revived and brand new! This lip balm works best when you apply it before going to bed as it is thick and leaves you with silky smooth lips come the morning.

The lip balm contains evening primrose, calendula, avocado and jojoba oils, all used for nourishment which you can defiantly feel!. However, this product comes with a rather hefty pricetag... this product retails for $28.00 for a 12g pot available from Mecca Cosmetica in-store or online, however this is something I will defiantly be purchasing in the full-size.

June Favourites

This month seems to have flown by and now that I am on holidays I have discovered some old gems in my collection as well as acquiring a new favourite!
From Top To Botton: Sportsgirl Eyeshadow (ONT Palette),
Eyeshadow No.31 (DB Palette), Eyeshadow No.38 (DB Palette).
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E: I have been loving this body butter this month because of its rich consistency making it perfect to re-hydrate dry, winter skin.
Designer Brands 48 Eye Shadow Palette: I have re-discovered this palette recently and have been loving the neutrals that this palette contains. The lustre finish that these shadows have brightens up the eyes but avoids looking like you just dipped your eyes in a pot of glitter!
Mecca Cosmetica Lip De-Luscious: This product has replaced my beloved Carmex chapstick (found in my Winter Warmers - Lip Care), it is a overnight sensation, leaving your lips smooth and soft when you wake up in the morning.
Covergirl Outlast Lipstain (Shade 415 Teasing Blush): I find that this product really enhances my lips, adding some extra colours, perfect for a natural look and to make your lips look just that bit better. As well as the scent and taste of the product- delicious!
Sportgirl On the Prowl Palette: I recently found this product again in my collection.  I have previously loved this palette and have really enjoyed using the lighter eyeshadow colour in my tear duct area to highlight my eyes. I find it is the perfect blend between matte and shimmer and love using it with neutral eyeshadows.(Unfortunatly this product is no longer avaliable from Sportsgirl but their Bronze Paper Palette has a similar colour selection).
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara (Very Black): I purchased this product recently because I had read and heard such good things about this mascara. I am a lover of my Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal and still use that on my upper lashes but found the size of the brush made applying it to the lower lashes hard. The Great Lash Mascara has the perfect sized brush for use on the lower lashes and does not smudge all day. And can be used for a natural look on the upper lashes too.

I hope you all had a wonderful June and look forward to posting more in July! xx

*Sorry guys for such a delayed post -better late than never!*

Winter Warmers - Miscellaneous

During winter there are many products around to help you embrace the styles and chills that the colder months bring. From tea to blankets, I have selected a variety of items to make your winter cosier!
Glasshouse Candle 'Little Black Dress'. I am yet to come across a fragrance I love more than this candle. The scent is like no-other, light florals,  accented by tones of blood orange and musk to help you feel like you're walking the streets of Manhattan.
(RRP $40 and can be found here for $36).
T2 'Sleep Tight' I find in winter that there is nothing better than sitting by the fire with a cup of warm tea. This is the perfect tea to have before going to bed in the evening as it contains  chamomile and instantly relaxes and calms. This tea also lasts ages as a little goes a long way when making it.
($13.50 for a 50g box and can be found here).
Annabel Trends 'Pom Pom Throw' The best blanket to keep you warm during the cooler months. As well as the cute pom poms attached to the throw it has incredibly soft material making it the ultimate blanket for winter.
(RRP $69.95 and can be found here)

DIY: Splatter Nails

The other day I was getting bored with my plain nail polish and decided to give the splatter nail polish trend a whirl. I had seen two YouTube tutorials on this look (both linked below) so I decided it looked simple enough to try. You can have a look at the tutorials and the post if you fancy giving this look a try, as I believe they all explain the steps very well. So here is a look at how my nails turned out!

 Before...
And After...
This design was super-simple and perfect to glam up any plain nail polish! I cant wait to try it with a different selection of nail polishes!
I used:
-Mecca Cosmetica 'Mariah' (Base Colour)
- Revlon Top Speed 'Grape'
- Orly "Luxe'
How to do it:
A wonderful tutorial using neutrals and a pop of colour
Another tutorial using summery neon shades

Winter Warmers - Lip Care

This is the second of four 'Winter Warmers' posts, with this one focussing on keeping your lips smooth and hydrated all winter long. During the winter time the chance of your lips becoming dry and chapped seems to grow dramatically! With having dry and chapped lips being a pet-hate of mine I like to keep a lip balm on me at all times, all year round. Having smooth lips makes applying lipstick a lot easier and leaves you with a more polished look overall. Below are some wonderful products I recommend to keep your lips smooth and healthy throughout winter.
Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm in Cherry
Carmex Moisturing Lip Balm (Cherry Flavour)
Not only are Carmex lip balms extremely moisturising they are inexpensive and very easy to get hold of. They are stocked in most supermarkets and pharmacies as well as places like Target and Kmart. They come in a variety of flavours and packaging options, with the chapstick being my personal favourite. These lip balms are quite thick, so I find that applying them at night works best, and leaves your with silky soft lips by the morning. I highly recommend these lip balms as I find there is nothing better to combat and prevent chapped lips throughout the colder months.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment
Lucas' Papaw Remedies
Lucas' Papaw Ointment
If you are looking for a multi-purpose, good for everything balm to have on you at all times, look no further! This wonderful ointment helps chapped lips, burns, cuts and insect bites, just to name a few of its uses! I find that this product is amazing to help heal and repair chapped lips, leaving them feeling instantly refreshed and smooth. This is the perfect item to keep with you at all times because of its many uses, and is wonderful for use during the day time on dry lips, as it quickly sinks in and leaves no oily residue on the lips. It is also an Australian-made product which means when you purchase this product that you are supporting a local Australian business. And is easy to pick up from stores such as Target and Big W.

Winter Warmers - Body Care

This is the first of many 'Winter Warmer' posts. These posts are here to inspire and reccomend a few products that are great to use during the colder months. Below are some products perfect for keeping your skin hydrated and conditioned throughout the winter season.
h
Gardeners Hand Therapy and Jojoba Oil Moisturising Body Cream
Crabtree and Evelyn

Crabtree&Evelyn 'Gardeners Hand Therapy' $20 for 50g
Jojoba Oil Moisturising Body Cream $40 for 200g
Crabtree and Evelyn are an English brand specialising in body care. Their products are easy to purchase with 21 stores throughout Australia, as well as their online store which offers free delivery for orders over $100.
The 'Gardeners Hand Therapy' is a higher-end hand cream ($20 for 50g or $28 for 100g) but you do pay for what you get, instantly nourished and conditioned hands from the shea-butter rich formula. You can apply this hand cream at whatever point during the day without worrying about having slippery hands as this product soaks in straight away and instantly restores softness. A little pea-sized amount of cream is all you need for both hands so this product lasts quite a while, making sure you get your moneys worth!

Another product perfect for keeping your skin glowing during the frostier months is the 'Jojoba Oil Moisturising Body Cream' ($40 for 200g). Even though this is probably more money than most people would want to spend on a body lotion, it does wonders for your skin leaving it feeling soft and silky. I recommend using this cream before going to bed as it is quite thick. This product is great for use on legs, knees and elbows, combating any dryness and restoring moisture back into the skin instantly.

I hope this helped you keep your skin looking nourished throughout winter, and ready for summer when the sun comes out again.
