Winter Warmers - Lip Care

This is the second of four 'Winter Warmers' posts, with this one focussing on keeping your lips smooth and hydrated all winter long. During the winter time the chance of your lips becoming dry and chapped seems to grow dramatically! With having dry and chapped lips being a pet-hate of mine I like to keep a lip balm on me at all times, all year round. Having smooth lips makes applying lipstick a lot easier and leaves you with a more polished look overall. Below are some wonderful products I recommend to keep your lips smooth and healthy throughout winter.
Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm in Cherry
Carmex Moisturing Lip Balm (Cherry Flavour)
Not only are Carmex lip balms extremely moisturising they are inexpensive and very easy to get hold of. They are stocked in most supermarkets and pharmacies as well as places like Target and Kmart. They come in a variety of flavours and packaging options, with the chapstick being my personal favourite. These lip balms are quite thick, so I find that applying them at night works best, and leaves your with silky soft lips by the morning. I highly recommend these lip balms as I find there is nothing better to combat and prevent chapped lips throughout the colder months.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment
Lucas' Papaw Remedies
Lucas' Papaw Ointment
If you are looking for a multi-purpose, good for everything balm to have on you at all times, look no further! This wonderful ointment helps chapped lips, burns, cuts and insect bites, just to name a few of its uses! I find that this product is amazing to help heal and repair chapped lips, leaving them feeling instantly refreshed and smooth. This is the perfect item to keep with you at all times because of its many uses, and is wonderful for use during the day time on dry lips, as it quickly sinks in and leaves no oily residue on the lips. It is also an Australian-made product which means when you purchase this product that you are supporting a local Australian business. And is easy to pick up from stores such as Target and Big W.
